What does it mean to tithe?

A tithe is a portion (10%) of your income given as an offering to your local church. (Fun fact: The word tithe literally means tenth in Hebrew.) Because the custom of tithing is biblical, many Christians and Jews practice it as part of their faith.


Leviticus 27:30: And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD'S: it is holy unto the LORD..


Proverbs 3:9: Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:


Luke 6:36: Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

You can give a one time or recurring gift from a debit card, credit card or as a direct transfer from your bank. Recurring direct bank transfers have the lowest fees and maximize your donations.


You can give your regular tithe or offerings separate from your tithes.


Your gifts help us share God's love with the lost, send missionaries around the world, minister to families, children, teens and college students, send out buses, share the gospel in prison and transform lives with God's Word. Your gifts make everything we do as a church possible.
